Diana Mirkin, director of Dr. Gabe Mirkin's Healthy Cooking School and Fat Free Clinic in Kensington, Maryland, has taught thousands of people how to lower cholesterol, control diabetes and control weight by making healthy food taste delicious. She is co-author with her husband Dr. Mirkin of The Whole Grains Cookbook, The Good Food Book, The 20/30 Fat and Fiber Diet Plan, and Fat Free — Flavor Full, which include more than 500 of her delicious, healthy recipes. She has developed hundreds of recipes that follow Dr. Mirkin's guidelines for healthy eating, featuring whole grains, beans, vegetables and fruit.
Diana can be heard every Friday on The Dr. Gabe Mirkin Show, her husband's nationally syndicated talk radio show, taking calls from listeners on food and nutrition. She also contributes to the Nutrition section of DrMirkin.com, Dr. Mirkin's Fitness and Health e-Zine, Dr. Mirkin on Health and Fitness and The Mirkin Report.
Diana is a graduate of Vassar College and has an MBA from Loyola College. When she's not inventing tasty new recipes, she's usually out riding the tandem bicycle, gardening or exercising her dogs.
